1. Safety Requirements & Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Minimum Safety Requirements for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the Auction Disposal Yard:- Protective clothing that fully covers arms & legs- Covered Footwear - Children are not allowed on site.
- The public must comply with all instructions given by the MOUNT ISA MINES contact.
2. Motor Vehicles & Machinery
- Mobile equipment involving large, heavy vehicles & moving machinery are operated extensively throughout the site. You should be particularly aware and look out for all moving equipment.
- All pedestrians must give way to all vehicles whilst crossing roads and walkways.
- Do not touch or interfere with any equipment including any machinery guarding.
- Visitors are not permitted to drive in the operations area unless prior approval is granted by a General Manager for the purpose of delivery of plant and equipment. In the case, escort vehicles must be used.
3. Smoking
- Mount Isa Mines promotes a smoke-free working environment and smoking is not permitted in the Auction Yard.
4. General
- All persons attending are notified that they will have to operate within the strict safety guidelines and comply with MQSHA and Workplace Health & safety Conditions.
- Persons attending are advised that an Auction site may be a potentially hazardous area. Flammable noxious, corrosive and pressurized substances may be present, heavy equipment is being operated and electric circuits could be live.
- Every person at the Auction site before, during and after the Auction sale shall be deemed to be there at his or her own risk. No persons shall have any claim against the Auctioneers, their agents, employees or principals for any injuries sustained or for damages to or loss of property which may occur from any cause whatsoever.
